The guest preacher is Rev Kenneth Robinson, Minister, Battlehill Methodist Church; and clergy and members of Church of Ireland, Presbyterian, Methodist and Society of Friends Congregations/Meetings, in the Kilmore Parish area have been invited. The  material for the week of Prayer for Christian Unity 2018, has been produced in the Carribbean. There are1.4 million Christians living in that very diverse region.

The contemporary context is deeply marked by the history of colonialism which stripped people of their dignity and freedom. Christian missionary activity, closely tied to the colonial system, seemed to support, encourage, and excuse it. During 500 years of the colonial system, scripture was used to justify the enslavement of the indigenous people. In a dynamic reversal, these same scriptures became the inspiration and motivation for people to reclaim their liberty.

Please do not miss this opportunity to welcome and pray with fellow Christians
