About Parish of Kilmore

Parish of KilmoreThe parish of Kilmore rejoices in its heritage of more than fifteen hundred years of Christian worship. Two Churches: invoking the patronage of the Immaculate Conception at Mullavilly  and St Patrick at Stonebridge together with our Primary School under the patronage of St Oliver Plunkett, exist as focal points for expression of Faith by 320 families.  This web site aims to supplement the weekly parish bulletin and the quarterly newsletter as sources of information on parish matters. It will be a source of reference to prayerful reflection and seasonal scripture readings.

An historical profile of the parish, accounts of past events and reminiscences of parish life are included in selections from previously recorded material. These recognise the sense of the place that is Kilmore parish and celebrate generations of families, from all the townlands which make up the parish. These families together with the parish clergy have followed the command of Jesus “Do this in memory of me”.  Visitors and newcomers to the parish are most welcome to our Sunday and weekday Masses and to other church liturgies and events.
